Tanya Lovett

MA, RN (Mental Health), Advanced Accredited EFT Practitioner, Author of 'Tap Your Trauma Away', UK

Tanya first studied theology at Oxford University and then changed tack to dedicate her life to working with those struggling to thrive in life.

She has worked as a mental health nurse and nurse manager in the NHS for over 30 years, 17 of those in eating disorder services.  She sees the nurse’s role as that of a witness, a facilitator and an empowerer, being alongside people through the whole of life and in its most vulnerable moments.  Mental health nurses in particular witness deep distress and have the opportunity to facilitate change and empower those they work with to live more fully and thrive.

She first trained in EFT in 2012, became an advanced practitioner in 2014, has studied the related techniques of Matrix Reimprinting and has been an EFT mentor for the past three years.

She is passionate about using EFT to enhance other approaches and as a standalone set of techniques.  Through EFT, the mind and the body, which have often been negatively affected by trauma (whether that be significant traumatic incidents like an accident or abuse, or what is called “small t trauma”, experiences like bullying or chronic stress, financial difficulties or constant criticism),  can find freedom and, through that freedom, can heal.

Tanya is particularly passionate about working with those who struggle to eat well because of their beliefs and emotions, despite knowing “exactly what to do”.  She also works as a mentor or supervisor, supporting others who work with those who struggle, to be as effective as possible.

Tanya is also the author of 'Tap Your Trauma Away'.
