Sui Wong
Dr. Sui H. Wong, a renowned Neurologist and Neuro-Ophthalmologist, is dedicated to improving patient-centered outcomes through evidence-based personalised care. Patients consistently highlight the tangible difference she makes in their lives with effective personalised lifestyle medicine.
She is a prolific researcher with 110+ peer-reviewed publications (journals, chapters, abstracts) to date. She is currently lead-investigator in two Randomised Controlled Trials that include Mindfulness, Sleep and Physical Activity as Lifestyle Interventions for Neurological conditions. Her research interest includes Migraine & the Gut-Brain Axis.
Dr. Wong has a private practice in London, UK (www.NeuroEye.co.uk). NHS practices are at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas NHSFT (GSTST), where she spearheads the Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) service. Her innovation of Group Consultation for IIH was shortlisted for the HSJ Acute Sector Innovation of the Year 2020 award, longlisted for the Royal College of Physician's Excellence in Patient Care Award 2020; and awarded best abstract at the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM)'s 2020 conference. She has been Patron for the IIH UK patient charity since December 2021, a testament to her dedication to patient empowerment.
In addition to her Medical Degree and Neurology qualification, she holds a post-graduate MD Degree in Neuroscience Research from University College London (UCL). Current academic positions at King's College London & UCL. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Founding Vice-President of the UK Neuro-Ophthalmology Society.
Dr Wong is certified in Lifestyle Medicine with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and BSLM. She is trained in Functional Medicine with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is also a skilled Hypnotherapist, Yoga and Mindfulness teacher.
