Sharon Hausman-Cohen
Dr. Sharon Hausman-Cohen is a leader in the field of genomics and integrative medicine, having published numerous papers related to the topic ranging from genomics relating to cognitive decline and longevity to mental health and autism. Dr. Hausman-Cohen is also a contributing author to the textbook, "Implementing Precision Medicine". Her area of research has been to figure out how to respond to specific gene variants using diet, lifestyle, supplements and at times medications, thus making genomics actionable so it can be used as part of medical decision-making. Her ultimate goal is to help improve outcomes in medicine and help medicine become a field that incorporates precision and individual differences into care.
Dr. Hausman-Cohen is the Chief Medical Officer and co-founder of IntellxxDNA and Resilient Health Austin. Dr. Hausman-Cohen received both her master's degree and medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Hausman-Cohen has been in the field of integrative medicine for over 25 years. She loves to teach and has given over 500 talks to fellow physicians during her career.
