Dr Dave feels privileged to work with people with intellectual disability and neurodevelopmental disorders. including Autism and ADHD. She is passionate about holistic, personalised care and enjoys working with patients to explore all factors that contribute to health & wellbeing, and to empower people to develop tools to independently support, improve and maintain their mental and physical health.
Fascinated by her grandfather’s daily Surya Namaskar, Dr Dave developed her personal breathwork and asana practice, and realised the power of Yoga as a ‘whole-body’ tool to support physical and mental wellbeing. She undertook Yoga Teacher Training in 2018 and Yoga4Health training with YIHA in 2020 to share safe practice with her patients. She has since delivered complimentary beginner’s yoga classes to people receiving care in the NHS, as well as NHS colleagues.
She strongly believes in the power of a safe, accessible yoga practice as an evidence-based tool to support health and wellbeing, and is passionate about freely sharing an inclusive practice, accessible to people of all backgrounds and abilities.
Dr Dave volunteers as a Trustee with the Yoga in Healthcare Alliance, a UK-registered charity which aims to promote evidenced-based and accessible yoga practices, and to increase awareness and policy-making based on research supporting the use of yoga as an effective tool to support health & wellbeing.
