Rupal Dave
Dr Rupal Dave MBChB BSc (Hons) MRCPsych FHEA is an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Intellectual Disability and Neurodevelopmental disorders. She has been a medical doctor since 2010, having completed her undergraduate medical training and degree in Pathology & Microbiology at the University of Bristol. She has completed postgraduate training in London with experience working in community mental health teams and specialist hospital wards in Neuropsychiatry, Child & Adolescent mental health and Forensic Psychiatry. She has a special interest in Education and having completed postgraduate studies at Imperial College, she became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Rupal feels privileged to work with people with intellectual disability and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism and ADHD, to empower people to improve and maintain their mental and physical health. She is passionate about holistic, personalised care, and further to Yoga teacher training in 2018, she completed Yoga4Health training in 2020. She has since delivered multiple complimentary yoga classes to NHS colleagues and to people receiving care in NHS mental health services. She volunteers as a Trustee with the Yoga in Healthcare Alliance, a UK-registered charity which aims to promote evidenced-based and accessible yoga practices for people of all backgrounds, and to increase awareness and policy-making based on research supporting the use of yoga as an effective tool to support health & wellbeing.
