Dr Robin Chatterjee is a specialist doctor (Consultant) in Musculoskeletal, Sport & Exercise Medicine. He has a particular interest in bone, muscle or joint pain of unknown cause, where he explores the role of sleep, hormones, diet & nutrition and stress & mental well-being as factors responsible for the pain.

He has trained in Sport, Exercise & Musculoskeletal medicine in various prestigious establishments such as Charing Cross Hospital, Queen Mary University of London, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. Now based at The London Clinic in London’s Harley Street Health District, he is widely recognised as a leading clinician in complex musculoskeletal problems, symptoms of unknown cause and non-surgical regenerative treatments.

Prior to his career as a specialist, Dr Chatterjee worked as a qualified GP, in emergency medicine and in anaesthetics/intensive care medicine for a number of years. He has also had the privilege of working as a front line doctor in terrorist attacks where in one such scenario he also acted as a Correspondent for the BBC during a terror attack in Thailand.

He has won awards for his research on low vitamin D as a cause of low back pain and his study on GPs knowledge of physical activity guidelines.

He has a particular interest in longevity medicine and will be working in the ‘Human Longevity Clinic (HLC)’, a first-of-its-kind clinical and research facility developed through a collaboration between The London Clinic and Northwestern Medicine - both globally respected, non-profit healthcare institutions. The HLC will be the first longevity clinic embedded within a leading world class, large, independent medical centre in the UK or Europe. Dr Chatterjee brings a rare multidisciplinary background to longevity medicine, with training in General Practice in the UK, Anaesthetics in Australia, Functional Medicine in the United States, alongside specialist training in Musculoskeletal, Sport & Exercise (SEM) Medicine in the UK.
