
Robert Thomas
Robert Thomas is a practising osteopath and Ambassador for the BCNO Group (European School of Osteopathy and British College of Osteopathic Medicine). He has vast experience in the many facets of osteopathic education, including lecturing, clinical tutoring, examining and clinical education management. Over the past twenty five years, he has worked with undergraduate and postgraduate students, lecturing extensively in the UK and abroad. Aside from practice and clinical teaching, he has worked as a professional quality reviewer for The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) and Mott MacDonald, reviewing UK osteopathic programmes.
Formerly a member of the Institute of Osteopathy's (IO) Osteopathic Development Group, he now sits on the professional body's Education and Policy Committee as an education specialist. His broad knowledge of the osteopathic sector involves him in many professional activities including lobbying with the Council for Osteopathic Education Institutes (COEI) and more recently, accepting a role as a panel member on the General Osteopathic Council's (GOSC) Professional Conduct Committee and Health Committee.
