Rieko Ito
Rieko Ito studied Nursing at City University (St. Bartholomew’s School of Nursing), London. Pursuing her interest in complimentary medicine, she joined the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (part of University College London Hospital Trust) in 2002, offering non-pharmacological support to patients with various chronic conditions. She trained in Western medical acupuncture with the British Medical Acupuncture Society in 2007 and was closely involved in the introduction of the “High Volume Acupuncture Service” (RLHIM) which she continues to run to this day. In 2013-2019, she also worked as a Headache Clinical Nurse Specialist at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, London, before joining the Insomnia & Behavioural Sleep Medicine service (RLHIM) as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for Insomnia in 2020.
