Mike Ash DO. ND. BSc. RNT. FRSM is a clinician-entrepreneur and systems medicine pioneer with more than four decades at the forefront of functional, integrative, and longevity healthcare.

He is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Strategy & Education Officer of FunctionalMind™, an AI-powered clinical intelligence platform engineered specifically for complex, multi-system medicine. Designed to extend clinician cognition rather than replace it, the platform reflects Mike’s lifelong focus on pattern recognition, systems biology, and real-world clinical workflow.

Originally trained in Osteopathy, Naturopathy, and Nutritional Therapy in London — following earlier studies in business, politics, law, and economics — Mike bridges clinical depth with strategic thinking. Since 2004, his postgraduate focus has centred on immunology, mucosal defence systems, and network physiology.

He founded and led one of the UK’s largest integrative medicine clinics, personally overseeing the care of more than 10,000 patients. Functional medicine principles were embedded into clinical operations in the early 1990s, well ahead of their wider European adoption.

Mike is also the Co-Founder of Nutri-Link, a pioneering nutraceutical and professional education company that played a significant role in advancing practitioner access to evidence-informed nutritional therapeutics across the UK.

Through Clinical Education, the not-for-profit organisation he founded, he continues to translate emerging science into practical clinical frameworks. He also serves as faculty for the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), contributing to international education and systems-based clinical advancement.
