Mark Lintern
Mark is a cancer researcher, multi-award-winning author of 'The Cancer Resolution?', and creator of the Cell Suppression Theory (CST), a novel framework exploring cancer as a suppression-based disease. His work investigates how a potential opportunistic intracellular fungal infection could act as the origin of cancer development, progression, and metastasis, offering a fresh perspective on longstanding questions in oncology.
Challenging conventional thinking, the CST provides a comprehensive explanation for all 10 hallmarks of cancer described by Douglas Hanahan and Robert Weinberg – widely regarded as a key benchmark for evaluating cancer theories – suggesting that Mark has identified a previously overlooked mechanism that may contribute to disease initiation and progression.
In February 2023, Mark presented his theory to a panel of 10 international cancer experts, debating its merits before an audience of more than 200 medical professionals, where it received an average confidence score of 7.9 out of 10. His revolutionary work aims to empower patients, clinicians, and researchers with broader insight into treatment decision-making by integrating terrain-based, metabolic, and antifungal perspectives alongside standard care.
Mark believes that improving cancer outcomes begins with better understanding the mechanisms that drive the disease, and that progress depends on continually questioning assumptions and exploring new explanatory models.
