Maria Vega
Maria Vega is a Senior Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 15 years’ experience supporting people affected by cancer across both the National Health Service (NHS) and private healthcare sectors in the UK. Her clinical work spans the cancer pathway, with a particular focus on supporting patients during active treatment and beyond. She works closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams and maintains strong professional links with centres of excellence in cancer care across the UK.
Maria currently serves on the Executive Committee of the British Society of Integrative Oncology, and is an active member of leading professional bodies, including the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS), the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), the Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO), and the College of Medicine. Maria is a certified Western medical acupuncturist with a focus on oncology and palliative care and also holds certification in auricular acupuncture from the College of Chinese Medicine. In addition, she is a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist (CETI) and a facilitator of Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery (MBCR).
Maria currently collaborates with Sanctura Clinic (London), Circle Health group, and University College London Hospitals (UCLH), and supports patients through her integrative oncology practice, Holo Health. Her work is grounded in clinical excellence, compassion, and innovation. She is a strong advocate for evidence-informed, nurse-led integrative oncology and is committed to advancing whole-person models of care that complement conventional cancer treatment and address patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Maria Vega will be speaking in the Integrative Oncology Conference taking place on Friday 19th June 2026. The full conference programmes will be announced in February 2026.
