Lowyn D. Hardy
Lowyn is a native of Alberta, Canada. From a very young age, he was mentored by his father, David L. Hardy, a pioneer in the use of broad-spectrum micronutrients to correct serious health conditions—first in livestock, then in individuals and families suffering with debilitating mood and mental health conditions.
As a teenager, Lowyn lived through the hell of mental illness in his own family and witnessed the night-and-day contrast of mental wellness after the recovery of two of his siblings with his father’s novel broad-spectrum micronutrient approach. He was an in-home “psych nurse” for a brother with schizophrenia as well as a sister with postpartum depression and psychoses. These early experiences shaped his passion for dedicating his life’s work to helping those individuals struggling with their mental health who are willing to apply alternative approaches beyond conventional psychiatry.
From 2011 (since its inception) to 2016, Lowyn served as the Chief Operations Officer of Hardy Nutritionals®, a Canadian enterprise his father founded. Since 2016, Lowyn has served as the Managing Director of the company. The micronutrient formulas, initially developed by David Hardy, that Lowyn and his team now oversee, are backed by over 65 independent medical journal publications, including multiple double-blind studies, making them the most researched broad-spectrum, multinutrient formulas the world over for supporting mental wellness. Clinicians in many countries have successfully integrated Hardy’s micronutrients into their practices.
Lowyn holds a Master of Science in International Business from the University of Hertfordshire, UK and a Master of Business Administration from Vancouver Island University, Canada. He also earned a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge, Canada.
Lowyn enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and 10 children in the Canadian Rockies.
