Layla Gordon
Layla's passion for health and wellbeing really grew when her husband and daughter both faced health challenges, and she made it her personal goal to help them to feel better. A predisposition to the symptoms of IBS, SIBO, candida, leaky gut, sleep issues, anxiety, stress, hormonal imbalances and cravings led her to find Patrick Holford’s books and subsequently to begin studying at the ‘Institute for Optimum Nutrition‘.
She decided to take on the four years of study to fully immerse herself in the knowledge that she was so keen to understand in more depth, not only so that she could help her family but also other people who are not feeling at their optimal health and wellbeing.
Since opening her practice, she has presented on the topic of ‘The Big Issue of Ultra-Processed Foods’ and also ‘Men’s Health, An Undiagnosed Epidemic’ in full day lectures for ‘The Institute for Optimum Nutrition’.
She has also worked alongside companies such as Dorset Mind, Rise Wellness and Gym, Running Free, Sustudio Canford Cliffs, The Collaborative Network, Peer2Peer board-networks at Limewood and The Captains Club and online for global companies, Barclays Bank, Simplyhealth, Elsevier and Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions.
She is the Nutrition Expert for BBC Radio Solent where she has a monthly slot, and she was voted the ‘UK’s Most Transformational Nutritionist 2023’ for her work in looking outside of the box when it comes to dietary and nutrition advice and support. She was also independently voted no.1. Nutritionist in Dorset 2024 for her quality of service.
Most recently she was interviewed on the Eventful Lives Podcast with Dodge Woodall which is a leading podcast in the UK with over 100 million YouTube downloads and over 100,000 subscribers, where they discussed the issue of men’s health, sugar, processed foods and chronic disease and she also presents for labs such a Regenerus on the topic of cardiovascular health.
