Dr. Kat Toups is a board-certified psychiatrist with over three decades of experience specializing in geriatric psychiatry and dementia care, with a focus on prevention and reversal of cognitive decline.

She directed a clinical trials research center for 13 years and served as principal investigator on more than 100 clinical trials, including over 20 long-term studies in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.

Over the past decade she has pioneered a multimodal precision medicine approach to reversing cognitive decline. Her clinical research with Dr. Dale Bredesen has demonstrated reversal of mild cognitive impairment and early Alzheimer’s disease in the majority of patients, with improvement rates exceeding 90% in her most recent randomized clinical trial.
