Jenny Paxman is Chief Executive Officer of The School of Artisan Food, home of the Best Food Forward programme, a flagship programme advancing curriculum embedded food education and professional food learning across education and healthcare.  A Registered Nutritionist (RNutr Food) and Fellow of the Association for Nutrition, Jenny brings over 25 years’ experience across higher education, research, governance and national food policy.

As an award-winning educator and published researcher, Jenny is a leading advocate for skills and knowledge-based food education rooted in evidence but framed around the power of delicious, nutritious, ingredient-led food. The School of Artisan Food’s Best Food Forward programme champions the role of food education not only in schools but also within healthcare, working to equip healthcare professionals with the practical food understanding and confidence needed to support prevention, treatment and recovery. Led by a Registered Dietitian and Food Education Specialist, the programme focuses on reconnecting clinical practice with real food, food preparation and food systems, helping practitioners better support patients, families and communities through informed, practical and sustainable food guidance, positioning food education as essential to public health, professional wellbeing and effective care.

Jenny represents The School of Artisan Food and Best Food Forward as a founding and steering group member of the Food Education Network.  Jenny is committed to reshaping food education across the lifecourse, enabling children, professionals and communities to cook, share and understand food in ways that support personal, public and planetary wellbeing.
