Born in 1957, Jean-Lionel is a medical doctor and a pioneer in the field of homeopathic supportive care. With over three decades of experience, he has worked extensively in the oncology department in Strasbourg (France) and maintains a private practice, providing dedicated care to cancer patients. Early in his medical career, he specialised in homeopathy, appreciating its efficacy, safety profile, and the absence of interactions with conventional treatments.

For over 20 years, he has been teaching homeopathy at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Strasbourg. He is also the founder and president of the International Homeopathic Society for Supportive Care in Oncology (SHISSO), established in 2016. Currently, he serves as the coordinating physician for the Integrative Care Outpatients Department at the Saint Vincent Hospital Group.

He authored Cancer and Homeopathy, the first comprehensive practical guide on the use of homeopathy in cancer care. The guide is intended for both patients and healthcare professionals, offering solutions for common chemotherapy side effects such as nausea, headaches, neurological disorders, and blood disorders.

In addition to his clinical work, he has published 65 peer-reviewed articles on homeopathy, all with DOIs, achieving a Research Interest Score of 236.3, with 381 citations and an h-index of 10.

He is a member of the scientific board of the French Society of Integrative Oncology (SFOI) and an associate member of the University College of Integrative and Complementary Medicine (CUMIC).

He holds an Inter-University Diploma in Medical Pedagogy from Strasbourg University (2010), an Inter-University Diploma in Clinical Oncology from Paris XI University (2005), and an Inter-University Diploma in Oncological Practice from U.H.P. Nancy (2004).
