Clare Grundel
Clare is an experienced nutrition practitioner and was awarded an MSc in Nutritional Therapy from Middlesex University in 2018. Her research focus was on the role of nutrition for chronic conditions seen routinely in NHS primary care with poor clinical management outcomes such as IBS and Fibromyalgia. Her area of clinical expertise is chronic pain and associated functional bowel disorders. She works routinely in collaboration with the General Practitioners of her clients. GPs provide diagnoses, medication reviews and laboratory test results, whilst Clare focuses on optimising diet and lifestyle practices for improved health outcomes.
Clare also works as the Science and Education Manager for BANT and as the Managing Editor for the Nutrition Evidence Database. She is a regular speaker on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and lectures on nutrition and lifestyle sciences for arthritis and chronic pain at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition.
