Camille Hirons
Camille is an NHS GP with a specialist interest in Health Equity and Lifestyle Medicine.
Alongside her clinical practice, she works in NHS innovation and transformation as Clinical Lead for an Integrated Neighbourhood Team and previously for the South-East London Cancer Alliance. Camille is also the Vice President of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
Camille's work is driven by the simple belief that evidence-based lifestyle medicine should be accessible to everyone, particularly those communities who experience the greatest health inequalities. She has had the privilege of co-designing and implementing a Lifestyle Medicine Service in Lewisham, South-East London, which has since been spread and scaled across the borough to improve access for underserved communities. This experience led her to create Lifestyle Medicine Accelerator, with the core mission of supporting the delivery of lifestyle medicine within the NHS.
Camille was the proud winner of the HSJ award for Primary and Community Care Innovation of the Year 2025 alongside the community organisation Red Ribbon Living Well, for their work as the health equity team on tackling health inequalities in their local area of Lewisham.
