Ashok Gupta
Ashok Gupta is an internationally recognized speaker, filmmaker, and health practitioner specializing in neuroplasticity and chronic illness recovery. He is the founder of the Gupta Program, a pioneering neuroplasticity-based treatment protocol for conditions such as ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, Long Covid, and related syndromes.
Ashok’s work is grounded in personal experience. While studying at Cambridge University over 25 years ago, he developed ME/CFS. Through his own research into brain function and the neurobiology of illness, he made a full recovery. He then established a clinic to support others and went on to develop the Gupta Program, first released in 2007 and now available globally via a comprehensive online platform and app.
His approach integrates insights from neuroscience, psychoneuroimmunology, and mind-body medicine. Ashok has published or supported many peer-reviewed medical papers, including independent randomized controlled trials demonstrating the effectiveness of brain retraining for ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, and Long Covid. His work is supported by a multidisciplinary medical advisory board, and the program is now used by practitioners across functional, integrative, and conventional medicine.
Ashok continues to lead clinical research, deliver training to health professionals, and raise awareness about the role of the brain in chronic illness. His mission is to empower patients and clinicians alike with evidence-based tools that address the root causes of suffering and unlock the body’s innate capacity to heal.
Ashok Gupta will be speaking in the Advanced Practitioner Conference taking place on Saturday 20th June 2026. The full conference programmes will be announced in February 2026.
