Alexa Duff
A Clinical Psychologist at Guys and St Thomas' hospitals in London and in private practice at the Gut Brain Connection. She specialise in supporting patients with gut health difficulties, to adjust to their mental and physical health difficulties, manage symptoms and improve their wellbeing.
Clinical Psychologists are trained in a number of different kinds of therapy. She work mainly using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, compassion focused therapy and EMDR, but will work with a client to find the approach that works best for them.
She has an interest in research and is working on a number of different projects, including the use of acceptance and commitment therapy with those with IBD, the development of eating difficulties and how illness perceptions impact on care. I hold a number of research grants, including some from CCUK and NIHR.
