UK Grown Functional Mushroom Extracts

100% Organic, 1:4 ratio, and triple-extracted tinctures for maximum efficacy in supporting overall health and wellbeing.

Bristol Fungarium planted its mycelial roots from humble beginnings with many small hands at work. As an organic farmer and former forest school leader, founder, Tom Baxter spent two years initiating "The Growing Up Project" which welcomed children from 9 months to 19 years into an organic farm just outside Bristol, encouraging them to reconnect with nature and learn what it means to work with the land.

With a penchant for fungi and growing demand for organic mushroom products, The Growing Up Project was reborn as Bristol Fungarium in 2020, specialising in producing the finest quality, organic certified UK-native mushrooms. The Fungarium handles the whole process: foraging and cloning wild native species, conducting liquid mycelium cultivation in the on-site laboratory, and fruiting the mushrooms on 100% organic hardwood species.

Today, Bristol Fungarium grows over fifteen wild, UK-native species of fungi, including lion’s mane, reishi, maitake, oyster, turkey tail, chaga, and cordyceps, as well as several exotic mushrooms including the delicious and notorious shiitake mushroom. Many of these mushrooms and more are now featured in our range of medicinal mushroom tinctures - the first UK-native and UK-grown organic-certified tinctures to hit the market.

Their products are triple-extracted from the whole mushroom fruiting body, extracting the water-soluble compounds (polysaccharides) and alcohol-soluble components (triterpenoids), offering you the full spectrum of benefits of each mushroom.

Bristol Fungarium is a developing story. They have just welcomed their first PhD student researching the cognitive benefits of Lion’s Mane in collaboration with University of West England and have a range of new functional mushroom products on the horizon. Stay tuned and visit them at their stall 🍄
