Beyond the Guidelines: Making Food Advice Work in Real Life

20 Jun 2026
Level 5 - Darwin

This fast-paced, 30-minute taster workshop invites healthcare professionals to step into real-life scenarios and rethink how dietary guidance is delivered in practice.

Led by a registered dietitian, this interactive session brings participants together around the table to test familiar NICE-aligned advice against everyday realities, from limited time and income, to access, skills and environment.

Working in small groups, you will:

  • Put standard dietary advice to the test
  • Identify what makes guidance unworkable in practice
  • Adapt recommendations to reflect real lives
  • Share insights with peers in a collaborative, discussion-led setting

Expect a practical, engaging and thought-provoking session, where conversation, challenge and reflection sit at the heart of the experience. Walk away with renewed confidence and simple ways to make your advice more achievable, relevant and effective.

Ideal for clinicians, dietitians and healthcare professionals working directly with patients.
