The heritability of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is estimated to be around 70-80%, indicating a strong genetic influence. However, the neurochemistry of ADHD-ers is diverse - it is not due to the same gene or genetic pathway/ pattern, just as it may not be a deficit of dopamine. Nutrigenetic testing is a powerful tool in deciphering personal neurotransmitter blueprints and enabling more precise, personalised and effective nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
