The growth and development of social prescribing over the last decade has been accompanied by a diverse and confusing terminology that impairs effective communication and creates barriers to engagement. In this workshop, we look at the development of the evidence-based Glossary of Terms for Social Prescribing and the steps taken to translate this into an accessible and interactive tool (www.splossary.wales) usable by professionals and the public across the UK and beyond. We will examine how this tool can be used to clarify and standardise the language used in social prescribing, as well as to collect data to inform future iterations and demonstrate impact.
